Delayed quote dataAdd to portfolio announced Thursday in a press statement a new partnership with the world famous crystal and jewellery company Swarovski.

The alliance combines Philips leadership in bringing innovative consumer lifestyle electronics products with Swarovski's expertise in creating fashion crystal jewellery and handbags collections to produce meaningful fashionable accessories for women.

Leveraging both companies' strengths, Philips and Swarovski have jointly designed and developed a range of new and unique products that will take technology to a new, fashionable level for women. The Philips and Swarovski alliance will develop new market opportunities for each company by integrating high fashion and technology.

The first fashionable innovations created by Philips and Swarovski are the Active Crystals range of products which will be launched this summer includes sound accessories and storage devices.

A limited collection will be available for a June sneak preview at Colette, the concept store in Paris. The full Philips and Swarovski Active Crystals range will be commercially available in Europe, North America and Asia in department stores/consumer electronics retail and in the Swarovski stores as of August 2007.

Hugo Boss signs jewellery licensing deal with Swarovski unit

Hugo Boss AG said it has awarded a six-year jewellery license to Amazar Holding AG, a subsidiary of Austrian crystal maker Swarovski Group. The exclusive license, which came into force on March 1, covers the production and worldwide distribution of jewellery collections for men and women under the Boss brand name, Hugo Boss said in a statement. The first jewellery collection will be presented in spring 2008 and made available to customers from July 2008.

TOUCHMATE unveils latest blinger, the Diamond Cam Mobile TM-M800G

Branded goods vendor TOUCHMATE has launched what it claims to be the world’s smallest mobile phone - Diamond Cam Mobile TM-M800G. Shaped in a similar fashion to Motorola’s L6 model, the Diamond Cam measures a mere 3cm x 9cm and weighs in at only 99gms, the mobile phone combines features such as mp3 and mp4 capability and USB support along with a fashionable Swarovski diamond crystal design. The company’s latest offering is part of a strategic bid to tap the growing mobile phone market, which in the EMEA region is expected to grow by 12 percent in 2007 to reach 400 million units according to the latest IDC forecast.
