Swarovski plus ear buds make chicBuds

Making the tech world a bit more glam, ChicBlvd.com founders Nikki Gutshall and Kailynn Bowling glued Swarovski crystals to every day ear buds. The products were a hit on eBay so the Irvine duo decided to manufacture it in bulk. The chic line hit stores in October and now sells in boutiques like the Fred Segal in Caesars Palace. Get your own pair at chicbuds.com, where single and double buds (for cell phone or music listening) are $36 and $46. An iPod car kit that plugs into the car's auxiliary port is $70.

Swarovski's Crystal Curtain for the Academy Awards

Since the night of the Academy Awards is the most star-studded event in Hollywood, it is only fitting that it be as glamorous as possible. To give this weekend's 79th annual awards ceremony some extra sparkle, Swarovski put together a giant Crystal Curtain that will be displayed on stage during the presentations. The curtain is made with over 50,000 imported Swarovski crystals and stretches 34 feet across. It weighs over 2,000-lbs.

Swarovski USB Drive

This is another grotesque, Swarovski-studded USB gadget, a flash drive from Solid Alliance. The configuration of crystals is customizable, but not so customizable you can make a space invader with it: it's all sickening tripe like "I ♥ U."

The drives come in 512MB, 1GB and 2GB, costing up to $155. "The target market is upscale females."
